Maison Violet is a historic French perfume house founded in 1827 by François-Étienne Violet in Paris. Renowned for its innovation in the cosmetics industry, Violet held several patents and received numerous awards, establishing itself as a significant player in 19th-century French perfumery. The brand gained royal recognition, becoming the official supplier to Empress Eugénie and Queen Isabella II of Spain. In 1858, the boutique adopted the name “À la Reine des Abeilles – Maison Violet” to solidify its legitimacy and honor the Empress’s symbol, the bee, which continues to adorn every bottle today.

After a period of dormancy, Maison Violet was revived in 2017 by three enthusiasts—Paul Richardot, Anthony Toulemonde, and Victorien Sirot—who met at the École Supérieure du Parfum. Their passion for vintage perfumery led them to reintroduce the brand with modern reinterpretations of the original recipes. Collaborating with renowned perfumer Nathalie Lorson, they launched fragrances such as Un Air d’Apogée, Sketch, and Pourpre d’Automne, which pay homage to Violet’s legacy while embracing contemporary sensibilities.

Maison Violet’s creations are characterized by their commitment to quality, longevity, and sillage. Rooted in a heritage of excellence, the house blends the tradition of French perfumery with modern, sustainable practices. Each product reflects its dedication to ethics and environmental responsibility, aiming to inspire change and transform the cosmetics industry.
